PMAY – The Concept and the Steps to Check your Name in the PMAY List

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a housing scheme of the Central Government. It was started to benefit the poor population of the country.

What is the PM Awas Yojana?

Under this, affordable housing solutions with sustainable construction methods are used.

The PMAY also comes with the credit linked subsidy scheme (CLSS) with the home loan interest rate subsidy.

It is 6.5% to Rs.2.67 lakh and is provided as per one’s income groups.

If you don’t have a pucca home anywhere in India and earning a yearly income between Rs.3 lakh and Rs.18 lakh, you can apply for PMAY.

How to check your name in the PMAY list?

If you have already applied for the PMAY scheme and want to know if your name is included, you can do that. All that you have to do is – check the online PMAY list.

You can check your name on the PMAY list in two ways – a) by entering your full name and b) entering your name’s first 3 letters.

1. Land on the official website of the PM Awas Yojana.
2. Hit the ‘Search Beneficiary’ tab on the main menu bar.
3. Once you click on the ‘Search Beneficiary’ tab, you will come across the drop-down menu.
4. You can now choose the ‘Search by Name’ option from the drop-down menu.
5. Type your correct name and hit the ‘Search’ button.
   

If you have followed the above steps carefully, you will be able to access the PMAY list. You can check your name and other details in the online PMAY list. If it is not yet included, it may be done at a later stage.
